Tomorrow is St Patty’s Day and although I am not Irish, I have always felt a kinship to the Irish because of my red hair – us red heads must stick together! 😉 To celebrate tomorrow and for a little treat, I put together a simple art print you can download for free!  Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Water Color Art Print Freebie! XoXoXo
Another freebie for Valentine’s Day! A quick little 5×7 art print this morning to celebrate a “lovely” time of year! Hope you enjoy 🙂
Valentine Class Bookmark Cards – Free Download!!!
With sick kids, half days and a multitude of other unplanned stuff in our schedule, it’s been taking me longer than I would have liked to get these valentine bookmarks finished and shared for a valentine freebie! But, alas, I finished {sigh}.
I really try to limit the trinket quota in our house, but it always seems to be a loosing battle. However, I trudge on and hope someday my house will be a trinket free zone (wishful thinking, right?). That said, for valentine’s day, it’s a mecca of trinkets and so in the past I’ve just done some simple valentine cards (see my Etsy Shop) with a lollipop taped to the back. For fear my kids will get bored with my noncreative valentine efforts (however, I thought their cards were pretty cute, but kids could care less about the design…it was for me 🙂 ), I decided to create some valentine bookmarks. Not as exciting as candy, but my mom conscience feels much better about it! So here you have it…they are a free download for the next week and then they will be available on my Etsy Shop for purchase after that.  Just print (on card stock), trim and write on the back and you are finished! Enjoy 🙂
Christmas Dinner Place Card Freebie!
This year we aren’t hosting Christmas for the first time in a looooong time. We are going to enjoy the day stress free at my brother’s house this year, which I am kind of relieved to not have to plan and host a big dinner. Aaaaahhhh! That said, I love to decorate the table for Christmas and come up with fun place card holders for the table. I always do something simple and pretty inexpensive…usually it involves my husband going out and picking some evergreen branches for me from some trees outside 🙂 Last year was one of my favorite tablescapes with skinny pine tree branches stuck in left over pieces of wood from what we cut off from our Christmas tree. My husband drilled a hole in the middle of the small stumps so the branches slid right in. It was simple, free and easy. I wish I had some pictures, but I sadly forgot to take any.
BUT, the other dressing for the table were these fun place cards (Click here for the free download!!). You can type in the names of your guests in the PDF or just leave it blank and write them in yourself. You choose! Click here for the free font if it doesn’t show on your computer. Enjoy!
Homemade DIY Hot Cocoa Mix and Marshmallows…Did I mention some free printables too?
Thanksgiving Feather Name Cards: Freebie
Thanksgiving is just a few days away!! Yikes! I need to be in full planning mode now. To help you out with your table scape, here are the feather name cards I mentioned last week. Print them out for free and you can either lay them flat (cut top off at fold) or write on them. I attempted some calligraphy…not my strongest suite, but it’s fun to try new things.
Also, make sure to print out the free matching gratitude cards as well 🙂
Tomorrow I am going to start a mini set-up of my table and I am going to try my hand with some kraft paper down the table and some white marker decoration…let’s hope it turns out. If it does, I will post pictures 🙂
3D Printing – Thanksgiving Place Setting Idea
My husband recently bought a 3D printer…not for any particular reason (that I know of), other than it’s cool and novel, and he is a sucker for anything new and curious in the tech world. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the whole concept because anything you can dream up, you can print. Say wha?!
He’s been printing little trinket things like a crazy, some cool, some not so much. But then he printed a little turkey place card holder for thanksgiving…it looked like a mini raw turkey, but it got me to thinking…what about some wishbones for the thanksgiving table?! Ask and you shall receive 10 little wishbones that he then painted gold for me. Kind of cool, huh? Anyway, I was playing around with my place setting this afternoon. I still have some revisions to make (boxwood sprig may be swapped out for some feathers), but my general concept is coming together.
I just love this time of year for the idea of gathering with family, eating warm comforting foods, and for the sentiments of the season!
Come back in a day or so for some free printable feather design name cards that match the gratitude cards I posted earlier this week…bonus! Also, early next week I am going have my Thanksgiving table scape put together for some easy, modern, yet rustic ideas.
“Give Thanks” Water Color Art Print
Here is another freebie for you to print out! A beautiful watercolor art print to celebrate the season of giving thanks to all the fortunes that we are granted. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it 🙂
Hello Again…and Thanksgiving Freebie
I’ve put on my blogging boots again after a six year hiatus while my girls were little. My oldest is now in first grade and my younger little spit fire is in preschool still, but next year she is in kindergarten…yahoo! As I am writing at this very moment, she is yelling at her sister in the background about fairness…she is the queen of “UN”fairness and playing to her big sis’s emotions to get what she wants. I’ve loved every moment of it, the good ANDÂ the bad, but serenity now!!!
OK – I need to focus here…(full time school next year, full time school next year…).
This year we are hosting Thanksgiving at our house after taking several years break, so my creative juices have been flowing on how I want to dress the table. I can’t help myself but to include a few printables to the mix, so I created these subtle gratitude/thankful cards to display either at the table or hanging elsewhere maybe on a branch or something. I love the tradition of everyone going around the table and saying what they are thankful for at the moment…and following recent tragedies, we are all thankful for something, whether it be big or small! To kick off my blog debut (again), I have included a free printable for your Thanksgiving table.
And come back soon for some coordinating name cards!
