School Lunch Notes Freebie!

I’m so excited my girls are headed back to school! Don’t get me wrong, I look forward to the lazy days and fun activities summer brings, but after several months I am ready to get back into a routine, have some peace and quiet of my own and just get stuff accomplished!!

My girls have come to expect a new set of lunch notes every school year so I’m sort of on the hook to create some new ones every year it seems (check out the freebies section for more designs!). Personally, they are one of my favorite things I get to create. They are relatively simple, sweet and lend well to my personal casual design style. And if they put a smile on my kiddos faces, then it’s all worth it!

This year was fruit themed as you can see. My older is currently in love with pineapples and my younger (not to be outdone by her older sister) is watermelon obsessed. So it was only fitting to create a fruit themed set of lunch notes. Personally, they are one of my favorite sets…but I say that every year 😉

I hope everyone has a wonderful, adventurous and fun school year! And for all those mamas (and dads) who entertained, broke up fights and cuddled their little ones all summer long, a glass of wine and/or a nap is waiting in your honor 🙂 Click here to download

Mother’s Day Card Freebie

Mothers Day Card_Lucky Horseshoe

Yep, it really is me. I have all but abandoned my blog lately. Not because I haven’t wanted to share anything, but because everyday life has taken precedence. And if I’m being truly honest, I have wanted to share some things here and there, but I haven’t felt they are relevant or fresh. In this over saturated social media terrain, I haven’t felt I have anything unique to share that hasn’t already been shared a million times over. And I don’t want to share something to just to fill my blog because “social media experts” say you have to post new content ALL. THE. TIME….This could be a blog post subject unto itself so I won’t dive any further, but you get my drift 😉

The reason why I have finally surfaced after so many months is that I have a FREEBIE that I want to offer and I think it’s a good one! Mother’s day is just over a week away and I had an idea for a card. Does anyone else feel they got lucky in the Mom department? I certainly do. I got lucky with my Mom, I got lucky with my Stepmom AND I got lucky with my Mother-in-Law. How I got so lucky, I don’t know. But I am certifiably grateful for such blessings.

If you feel as I do, this free Mother’s Day card is PERFECT! Just click here, download, and print. Voila! Mother’s Day is in the bag!

Libra Constellation Card: Free Download

It’s my goal this year to create one horoscope card each month and end up with a collection at the end of the 12 months. At the end of the month is my husbands birthday and I thought I might as well start now! I’m one down 11 to go! Each month I’ll post the free download here on the blog and then after each month, they will be available on my Etsy shop for purchase..still only $2.50 for the digital file, so either way it’s a good deal!

Mother’s Day Card Freebie!

Mothers Day_Home_Download IMG_8092

Just in the nick of time I pulled this Mother’s Day card together and to offer you a free printable (Click Here to download). Just in case you are doing this last minute like me! 😉 I’m going to hold out my honesty card here for a sec. I don’t know if you are like me, but every Mother’s Day I struggle with wanting to just take the day off and coast the whole day…because let’s face it…as mother’s that’s near impossible even if your husband “takes over” for the day. My husband can be in the kitchen, and I am some where else in the house, and my girls will yell out in the house if I can get them a snack. Really?!

Back to my original point of wanting to take the day off…I also have Moms that have put in their time and more than deserve to be celebrated beyond measure. They have been at this waaaay longer than I have! Buuuut….I. AM. TIRED. What do I do? Throw on my big girl pants and put something together for the amazing Moms in my life or coast and hope that they understand this time around? In the mean time, I am popping this card in the mail. And my sentiments are true. Where ever your Mama is, it feels like home. All is right in the world. Thank you to all of the inspiring Moms that have come before me and set the bar high. We can only scratch the surface to express our gratitude for the countless sacrifices made and always having that soft spot to land when times are tough. Thank you Mom!

Happy Mother’s Day – XoXo

Free Printable Recipe Card!

RecipeCard Diagonal

I haven’t been as regular with my posting the last few months. I don’t know if it’s this dreary NW winter we are having (I am soooo over the rain!!!) or if it’s because we haven’t been able to get in to a routine with the girl’s school schedule being all over the board since winter break, but my struggle is real! To beat this gloom and doom weather we are having…if you could see outside my office window right now…I thought I’d share a recipe card freebie. And who doesn’t love baking in this kind of weather anyway? I think that is what I will do after I finish this post! I digress 🙂

I created this recipe card to be clean, minimal and modern so the recipe is star. It’s perfect for those bridal showers coming up! Click here for the free printable PDF download and if you would like the editable version (no hand writing necessary!), you can purchase it on my Frella Designs Etsy Shop. I hope you enjoy using it!

Christmas Name Cards: Free Download!

img_7152

It’s almost Christmas! Yikes! I feel like I am scrambling to get things done, but at the same time…nothing is getting accomplished!! The girls have this whole week before Christmas off of school and I have been spoiled with them both in full time school and having those hours to check things off my to-do list. Plus, they seem extra cranky and messy lately (sigh). Mom life am I right?!

But I realized that with Christmas just a few days away, I better start thinking of my table setting! Given how this week is going I thought I should keep things super simple and not try and reinvent the wheel. So I whipped these place cards up to go with the glitter Christmas party crackers I found from Meri Meri (click here for free download. And there is an editable field to type your guests names!). Black, white and gold this year! And maybe a bit of greenery thrown in there 🙂 I also felt it appropriate to have the “peace, love and joy” theme this year. 2016 seemed to be more crazy and emotional in the world than usual and we could all use some Christmas joy and magic to make the world a little brighter for 2017. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. Much love to you all!

Halloween Bingo – Class Room Party Freebie!

img_6670

And just like that, it’s Halloween! Are you all ready?! I think we are now that my girls have their costumes and I’ve got this Halloween bingo under wraps for my oldest’s class party on Monday. There are a ton of variations of Halloween bingo out there on Etsy, but here is my take on it…and it’s free!!

If your kiddos are having a party and need you need an easy game, just print these out and trim. Done and done! There are twelve different cards (Click here) and one set of calling cards (Click here) with all of the individual pictures. You can use any little candies you like for the place holders 🙂

Encouragement Greeting Card: Freebie

img_6511

We all have a friend or family member going through a tough time in their lives and it’s sometimes hard to know what we can do to help. For me, I resort to food. When I feel stuck and helpless to help out…I bake or cook. If you have a dietary restriction, no problem! I will find a way to make something (hopefully) yummy. If it’s your special day, I will make you a cake! If you are tired after school, I will bake you a cozy treat. And if you have had just a down-right, bad luck of cards handed to you and there is nothing we can say or do to fix things other than time and prayer…I will bring you food. I wish I were more creative, but it’s in my blood and that’s how I show you I love you and am thinking of you.

I put together this little care package of chocolate chip cookies and a card of encouragement the other day for a dear friend. I love her dearly and my heart is aching for her right now. I want to wipe away all her problems, but I can’t. It sucks. But I can’t. It’s not much, but a few cookies and a card will hopefully put a smile on a friend’s face. Even if it’s small and it’s for a brief second, it’s worth it. Click here for the free greeting card. Pair it with their favorite fresh baked cookies and hopefully you bring a smile to their face and lighten their burden for a few seconds of their day. We could all use a little encouragement now and then, even if our problems are big or small. What’s your way of showing someone they are loved?!

Halloween Lunch Box Notes: Freebie!

halloween-lunch-notes_digital img_6483

It’s looking like halloween around this household and chatter about the girl’s costumes is underway…I need to start thinking about that! But in the mean time, I have successfully managed to put a lunch note in the girl’s lunch with a written note on the back EVERY DAY so far. I’ll give myself a pat on the back for that one 😉 I am getting tired of the same ol’ rotation of notes that I have, so I thought it would be fun to make some seasonal holiday ones to change things up for a few months.

I sat down today to come up with some halloween ones and I hope to follow up with some Thanksgiving and Christmas ones as well. You can download these free lunch notes here!

School Morning Checklist Freebie

img_6375

Does anyone else struggle with your kids never listening to what they need to do each school morning to get ready? Even though it’s the same thing EVERY morning, they look at you after you get mad like a wounded puppy that is just learning the ropes. “You’re telling me that you were completely blown away that you had to brush your teeth after breakfast and I’ve never asked you to do that before? Even one minute ago? REALLY?!”. I digress 😉

Can you tell it’s been a trying morning at our household?! Yesterday I decided to try out a check list they can look at instead of me constantly repeating myself and getting frustrated. We have yet to fully try it since I am taking them to get laminated this morning. This way, they can check off each box over and over without me having to reprint. I put the basic steps that I think most households do to get ready in the morning: eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed, brush hair and make the bed (not sure if this last one is standard for most, but I make them do this starting in kindergarten and they get a break on the weekend). I also created little pictures as well as words because my kindergartener isn’t quite reading yet. Fingers crossed this helps mornings go smoother and this Mama can rest her voice and save her sanity!!! Hope it helps you guys too! Click here for the download 🙂

Happy Monday!
